Aidan Martin Releases Powerful Anti-Establishment Anthem

‘Waning Hypnotized Illusions’

Aidan Martin releases his prolific fourth single off his upcoming album and the track strongly questions the moral fibre of society, consumerism and our modern-day slavery mindset. ‘Waning Hypnotized Illusions’ unapologetically tells it like it is without the pretty frills and rose-tinted perspective; in a way true anti-establishment anthems do.

Throughout history humans have been divided by their religious beliefs, traditions, colour of one’s skin, stature in society and more. However, music has the power to transcend this.

Sadly, we are consumed by capitalism and have become slaves to our endless need to make life easier, faster. It is hard to stay optimistic about civilization as societies blunder on, repeating past afflictions, while technology is moving at an exponential pace which creates even further anxieties. Although the world bares with our arrogance it also reveals that we are in fact disturbing the natural order and almost throwing it off it’s integral and rudimental axis.

Staggeringly, every now and then, the human spirit shines through and overcomes the unimaginable. That moment doesn’t last forever though and people soon forget.

Consequently, through music, individuals can be removed from these anxieties and elevated into the moment. Importantly, the remarkable thing about music is that the torch is passed on while the true spirit, energy or whatever you want to call it, joins us for that brief yet mystical moment in time.

Waning Hypnotized Illusions is released at a time when the world is sheepishly swept up in the brainwashing capitalist season of festivities during which people spend all their hard earned money on materialistic things that they actually don’t need. It is in this critical time that society needs to be reminded of the truth and to be pointed into the direction of the things that truly do hold real value in our lives; each other, kindness, the power of free thinking and of course, music.

At the helm of steering Aidan’s new album into world-class production is Graham Ward. “Graham brings his years of industry experience and compelling talents to the table and adds that extra ingredient to the music. We’re very lucky to be working with someone of his calibre,” Aidan said and continued, “I write the lyrics and music, while Jorik and André are always prepared and ready to bring their A-game. We go into studio, we record and we trust Graham to work his magic.”

Lyrics to ‘Waning Hypnotized Illusions’ :

By Aidan Martin

YOUR CAST OR CREED, IT’S BOTH RED WE BLEED

WE BELIEVE IN LIES, WE STAY HYPNOTISED

NOT SO DIVINE, WE WITHER ON THE VINE

AND WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN, WE ALL SAFELY DROWN

THIS WANTON WORLD, SO RIPE AND REELING

NO FREEDOM HERE, NO LOSS NO FEELING

ILLUSIONS REIGN, LOST SOULS PLOUGH IN VAIN

ANOTHER LIFE TO SELL, WE WAITING FOR THE BELL TO RING

NOW THAT YOUR BELLY’S FULL, VOICES HAVE LEFT YOU

YOUR SICKNESS IS CURED, AND YOU WORRY NO MORE

NOW THAT IT’S THE BITTER END

WHAT NOW?
